1) The Industrial Revolution started in England around 1733
2) Because England wanted to keep its industrialization a secret.
3) Samuel Slater came to America and reconstructed a cotton-spinning machine and then started to build a factory of his own. The Industrial Revolution had arrived in the United States.
4) Because of the industrial Revolution, Factory owners, looking for cheap, used childres from about 6 years old and older and women to run their machines. Most of them were already working 14 hours a day in the factories. This, took the children their childhood and they had no freetime to do anything else. Some got sick and died because of the toxic fumes, and others were severely injured and sometimes killed working at the dangerous machines in factories.
